-What happens if I break or damage equipment while using it?
If equipment becomes broken or damaged while you are using it, please email the equipment manager as soon as possible with details of the damage. Knowing what happened to the equipment will let us get it back into service as soon as possible. You are liable for any equipment damage.
-What happens if I find that a piece of equipment is missing or broken when I go to pick it up?
If you go to pick up your equipment reservation and you find that one or more pieces are missing or broken/damaged, please email the equipment manager immediately. Doing so not only allows us to figure out what happened to the equipment, but it also allows us to get the problem resolved as soon as possible so that the equipment will be back in service for members to use.
-What if I want to reserve equipment for longer than 3 days or over a break?
Equipment reservations of longer than 3 days are handled on a case-by-case basis by the Photo club officers. If you wish to check out equipment for longer than 3 days, please email the equipment manager.
-Where and When can I pick up my equipment?
The photo club equipment is stored in the Student Activities Center on the first floor of Newcomb Hall. You’ll need to go during their open hours on the first day of your reservation. You can find the SAC hours of operation on their website.
If you have been authorized to rent equipment for an extended break (e.g. Thanksgiving), keep in mind that the SAC closes early on the day of break, so please plan to pick up your equipment accordingly.
-What equipment am I allowed to check out?
Any equipment! The only prerequisite to checking out equipment is that you have a membership plan that allows for equipment reservation. Check our plans here our plans.
-How long can I reserve equipment for?
According to our plans you can rent for either 2 or 3 days.
-How do I make a reservation?
To make a reservation, you can go to the equipment reservation page. When reserving equipment, check the dates you want to check it out and make sure that no one else has reserved the equipment you want for the same date. Please reserve the equipment at least 2 days in advance. If you need to reserve the equipment sooner, please email the equipment manager in addition to filling out the equipment form.
